Hi,
I'm Julia, and I'm so glad you stopped by.
I discovered the Converto Table during my travels around South Asia and was instantly captivated by its design and versatility. As someone striving for a minimalist lifestyle, this table felt like the perfect fit for my living space. While arranging to ship one home to Edmonton, Alberta, I had an idea: Why not turn this into a business? Modular, convertible furniture is a well-established concept in Asia, but it's still relatively new in North America. While we often enjoy more spacious homes here, that’s starting to change. The Converto Table seems like the perfect solution as we adjust to unqiue living spaces.
My journey so far has been both challenging and rewarding. India doesn't operate at the same pace as the Western world—deadlines can feel fluid, appointments change on a whim, and navigating a male-dominated industry as a woman has its hurdles. However, I've also met incredibly kind and helpful people along the way who have gone above and beyond to support me. I’m truly grateful for their assistance. Exporting furniture in bulk is no small task, but with their help, I’m making it happen.
You might wonder why I don’t manufacture in Canada. I’ve questioned this myself, but for now, it comes down to cost. My budget stretches further in rupees, though my long-term goal is to bring production home.
Why should you buy my product? For starters, I’m collaborating with industry experts with decades of experience to ensure this table is both durable and affordable. And isn’t it such a cool concept—a coffee table, desk, and dining table all in one? I plan to add even more unique products like this in the future.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope you’ll give the Converto Table a try!
